Eric Lynn Wright, born September 7, 1964[2] and died the 26th of March, 1995. He was known as Eazy E. An American rapper. Wright was the leader of the N.W.A group as well as Ruthless Records, and helped in the development of West Coast rap and gangsta Rap. Wright is often referred to as"the "Godfather Gangsta Rap". Born and raised in Compton California, Wright was involved in a variety of legal issues prior to establishing Ruthless Records in 1987. Following a brief solo career that included frequent collaborations with Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, they joinedtogether, forming N.W.A in the year following. Straight Outta Compton was N.W.A’s first studio album. It was released in 1988. It was a source of controversy upon its release, but is now considered to be among the greatest and most influential albums ever. In 1991, the group released Niggaz4Life which was its third and final studio album. Soon after, N.W.A disbanded. Eazy-E also became involved in fierce rivalries between him and Ice Cube and Dr. Dre who parted ways to pursue solo careers in 1989, and 1991. After resuming his solo career, Eazy-E released two EPs. He was still a significant figure behind the scenes. From 1993 to 1994, he signed and nationalized Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. Eazy-E passed away from complications of AIDS in 1995, after being admitted unexpectedly to the hospital.
