Vienna Opera BallIn 2009, she released her first autobiography in Scandinavia with the title "Gitte Nielsen - Du har an et liv, sadan fandt jeg tilbage to mig selv" ("You only have one life - this is how I came to find myself once more"). The book was a success, making it to the Top 5 of Denmark's bestseller list[20] and then was published in the United Kingdom under the title You Only Get One Life in 2011.
