Donna Douglas

 Douglas moved from the Midwest to New York City in order to explore a career as a showbiz actor. She began her career as an illustration model for toothpaste advertisements. [6] She was featured as the "Letters Girl" on NBC's The Perry Como Show in 1957 and as the "Billboard Girl" on NBC's The Steve Allen Show in 1959. These and other appearances on TV have led New York photographers and journalists to give the "Miss Byline" crown. She was recognized as the "Letters Girl" on the Perry Como Show of NBC in the year 1957, and as the "Billboard Girl" on the Steve Allen Show of NBC in 1959. Then she was given a small part in the musical comedy Li'l Abner (1959), and the secretary role in the romantic comedy Lover Come back (1961) which starred Rock Hudson, Doris Day and a host of other television appearances throughout the 1950s and 1960s. In four episodes of CBS's detective show Checkmate, she played Barbara Simmons. U.S. Marshal, Tightrope, The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet The Bachelor, Father, Adam-12, and Route 66. Douglas was also in Thriller season 1, episode 16 "The Hungry Glass".
