She is an American and South African actress. She is among the highest-paid actresses around the globe and has been awarded numerous awards such as the Academy Award. Screen Actors Guild Award. Golden Globe Award. 4. Time listed her as one of the top 100 influential people globally in 2016. She became famous in the 1990s when she was the main actor in The Devil's Advocate (1997) and Mighty Joe Young (191998). The film received acclaim for her performance in the role of serial killer Aileen Wuornos, who brought her the Silver Bear Award and Academy Award for Best Actress. She also was the first South African actress to win an Oscar for acting in a category. A second Academy Award nomination was received for her performance as a victim of sexual abuse looking for justice in North Country (2005). Theron was recognized for her performance as women who are struggling in Jason Reitman's comedy-drama Young Adult (2011) and Tully (2018). The actress was also praised for her performance in Megyn Kelly (2019) which brought her a third Academy Award nomination. A number of her films included her as a lead in them, such as The Burning Plain (2008) and Dark Places (2015). Theron was born in South Africa, and was admitted as an American citizen in 2007. Theron was given the Hollywood Walk of Fame motion film star.
