Catherine Bell

Catherine Lisa Bell was born in London on 14 August 1968 to a Scottish father Peter Bell and Mina Ezzati, who was an Iranian mother. [33 Peter was working as an architect in contract with an oil company located in Iran; Mina had travelled to London to study nursing. Bell was just two years old when her parents separated. Bell was raised by her mother and maternal grandparents. Bell was exposed to a variety of influences as her family relocated to the San Fernando Valley in California[33. The family spoke Persian at home. Her parents were Muslim, but Catherine was also exposed to Catholicism and was a part of an Baptist summer camp. As a teenager, Catherine came under the influence of her California surroundings: "I am definitely a Valley Girl. I was an adolescent. I loved to skateboard, play football, and push the envelope just a bit bit".Catherine was enrolled at UCLA in the hopes of pursuing the possibility of a career in medicine or research. She dropped out of UCLA in her second year after she received a position as model in Japan, where Japanese advertisers value "American beauty".
