Beverly D'Angelo

 D'Angelo began acting in theater in 1976, when she made her debut on Broadway in Rockabye Hamlet (also known by Kronborg:1582), a musical that is based on Shakespeare's Hamlet. The actress first appeared on television in the first three episodes of the TV mini-series Captains and the Kings in 1976.After receiving a minor part in Annie Hall in 1977, D'Angelo appeared in a string of popular films in the late 1970s such as Every Which Way But Loose, Hair, and Coal Miner's Daughter, the last which earned her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her performance as Patsy Cline. In 1983, she appeared with Chevy Chase in the role of Ellen Griswold in National Lampoon’s Vacation. This was her biggest hit. She reprised the role for four Vacation sequels, as well as one short film in the years 1985 until 2015. The actress also appeared in several other comedy films during the 1980s. However, she was mostly a part of independent movies in the mid-1990s. In 1994, D'Angelo was back on stage and won a Theatre World Award for her performance in the Off-Broadway production Simpatico.She received an Emmy Award nomination for her performance as Stella Kowalski in the 1984 television movie version of A Streetcar Named Desire. The actress was later cast in a major role in a variety of dramatic made-for-television films including Slow Burn, Judgment Day, The John List Story and Sweet Temptation. [14] In the 2000s D'Angelo played a frequent role in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit as defense attorney Rebecca Balthus. [2] She was also voice actor. She made a guest appearance on The Simpsons' third season as Lurleen Lumpkin in 1992, in which she played the role of a Southern waitress and singer. A year later, in 2008, she was portrayed as the same character in the episode "Papa Don't Leech" during the 19th season. D'Angelo on the 2012 season From 2005 through 2011, D'Angelo played the role of Barbara "Babs” Miller in HBO's Entourage. She also appeared in Gamers: The Movie, an independent film she produced in 2006. In 2008 D'Angelo played a part in the movie Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay as Sally. D'Angelo was the character as the housemother in The House Bunny and was included in Tony Kaye's film Black Water Transit. In 2014, D'Angelo was cast with Chevy Chase for an ABC comedy pilot called Chev & Bev. It focused on a retired couple who must take care of their children. ABC did not decide to create the show into a series. 15 D'Angelo was in the role of Chevy Chase in Vacation, a continuation of the film's original version that was released on the 29th of July 2015.
