Anderson (footballer

 Anderson Luis de Abreu Oliveira, commonly known as Anderson (born 13 April 1988) is a former Brazilian professional footballer as well as assistant manager at Adana Demirspor. He was a midfielder and known best for his time at Manchester United from 2007 to 2015. He was born in Porto Alegre. He started his career at Gremio as a young player and later progressed through the ranks. Gremio was elevated to the Brazilian Serie A after his goal against Nautico in the play-offs of 2005. In January 2006, Anderson moved to Porto. There, he won the Primeira Liga twice, along with the Taca de Portugal and Supertaca Candido de Oliveira during the 2005-06 season. After spending 18 months in Portugal, he moved to England, and was signed by Manchester United. He won the Premier League title four more times while playing for Manchester United. After the departure of Alex Ferguson in 2013, he fell not a favorite at Manchester United and spent the second half the 2013-14 season playing for Fiorentina. He returned to Brazil in January of 2015 to join Internacional. He went on loan to Coritiba in 2017, before returning to Europe in the year 2018 with Turkish club Adana Demirspor. After one year, Anderson retired from football in September 2020. Anderson made his Brazil debut in 2007 during the 2007 Copa America, which they won. He was also part of the Brazil Olympic soccer team during the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and helped them win the bronze medal.
