Christina Ricci (/'ri:tSi/ REE-chee born February 12, 1980) is an American actress. Ricci is known for her unique roles that have an edge of dark. She works primarily in independent films, but is also a part of many films that have made it to the box office. 3 She has won nominations for the Golden Globe and two Primetime Emmy Awards.Ricci made her debut in film at age 9 in Mermaids (1990) in which was followed by a debut role as the character Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family (1991) as well as its sequel, Addams Family Values (1993). The subsequent appearances in Casper and Now and Then (both 1995) made her an idol for teens. Her career began as an adult actor at the age of 17 with The Ice Storm (1997) and was later cast in numerous independent films including Monster (1998), The Opposite of Sex (2000) and Pecker (1998). Also, she was in Sleepy Hollow (1999), 200 Cigarettes (99), Penelope (2006) and Speed Racer (2008). Additionally, Ricci was a part of the finale season, Ally McBeal(2002) and also made a guest appearance on Grey's Anatomy (2006). She also appeared on the ABC series Pan Am (2011) and also starred in and produced the show Z: The Beginning of Everything (2017). In 2021, she started playing in the critically acclaimed Showtime series Yellowjackets and, in 2022, she appeared in the comedy-horror show Wednesday.
