Tim Tebow

Timothy Richard Tebow, /'ti.boU/ was born August 14, 1987. He is an American footballer who is a free agent. He played for three seasons with the National Football League (NFL) as a quarterback, the most notably with the Denver Broncos. Tebow played college football at Florida in the United States, where he became the first player of his age to take home the Heisman Trophy and led his team to two BCS National Championship victories in 2007 and 2009.At the conclusion of his college career Tebow held the Southeastern Conference's records for the number of passes he completed and the number of rushing touchdowns.Selected by the Broncos in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft, Tebow became their primary quarterback during the 2011 season. His time as a starter helped revitalize a struggling team, guiding the team to their first division title and playoff victory since 2005. However, questions about Tebow's prospects for the future resulted in him being traded to the New York Jets the next offseason. Tebow was on the team for one season as a reserve. 6. Tebow was not selected for the final rosters of either the New England Patriots or Philadelphia Eagles. Instead the minor leaguer pursued a baseball career with the New York Mets from 2016 until 2021. Tebow retired from baseball in the same year. He returned to the NFL playing as a tight end for both the Jacksonville Jaguars and Philadelphia Eagles. But, he was fired after only one game. Tebow went on to an MLB minor league career in the New York Mets between 2016 and 2021.
