Tim Tebow

Timothy Richard Tebow (/'ti:boU/ born August 14, 1987) is an American football player who is an unrestricted free agent. He was previously a part of three seasons in the National Football League (NFL) as a quarterback, with the most notably with the Denver Broncos. Tebow was a football college player at Florida. He was the winner of the Heisman Trophy as the first underclassman in the team and was a leader to two BCS National Championship wins in 2007 and 2009. After the end of his college career, Tebow was the records of the Southeastern Conference for the number of passes he completed and the number of rushing touchdowns.Selected by the Broncos in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft, Tebow became their starting quarterback in the 2011 season. His stint led to a team struggling to win their first division title and also a playoff win since 2005. The potential for Tebow's return, however, resulted in him being traded the following offseason to the New York Jets, where he spent one year as a back-up. Tebow played minor league baseball with the New York Mets from 2016 until 2021, after failing to make the rosters of the New England Patriots or Philadelphia Eagles. In the same year, he announced his retirement from baseball. Tebow returned to the NFL as a tight end for the Jacksonville Jaguars, but was dismissed after just one preseason game.
