Timothy Richard Tebow, /'ti.boUwas born on 14 August on the 14th of August, 1987. He is an American footballer and an unrestricted free agent. Tebow played the position of quarterback for three seasons prior to his time of the National Football League (NFL) including the Denver Broncos. Tebow played in the NCAA football tournament at Florida in the United States, where he was the first underclassman to take home the Heisman Trophy and led his team to two BCS National Championship victories in 2007 and 2009. [3] At the conclusion of his collegiate career, Tebow was the records of the Southeastern Conference for lifetime passing efficiency and rushing touchdowns.Selected by the Broncos in the first round of the 2010 NFL Draft, Tebow became their starting quarterback in the 2011 season. His time as a starter helped a struggling team win their first division title and also a playoff win since 2005. But, concerns about the future prospects of Tebow led to him being sold to the New York Jets the next offseason. He stayed in the Jets' reserve team. [6] After failing to be named to the roster for the New England Patriots and Philadelphia Eagles, Tebow pursued a minor league baseball career within the New York Mets organization from 2016 until 2021. [7] Tebow was released from the NFL after he played one preseason game.
