Paul Anka

 Paul Anka recorded his first single, "I Confess", when he was 14. In 1956, with a sum of $100 that was given to him by his uncle, he traveled to New York City where he auditioned for Don Costa at ABC Records and sang what was believed to be a lovestruck verse which he had composed for the former babysitter. In an interview with NPR's Terry Gross in 2005, the singer claimed that the song was written to an individual from his church whom he hardly knew. Anka's song "Diana" that resulted in the No. 1 position and was a massive success. 1. on both the Canadian and US charts of music. "Diana" was a Canadian recording artist's best-selling single, is still highly sought-after. Four songs that included "It’s Time to Cry" was included in the Top 20 in 1958. 4 and "(All of a sudden) My Heart Sings", which reached number 4. 15 in the charts and made his one of the most adored teen idols at the time. With Buddy Holly, he toured Britain and Australia. Anka also wrote the hit song "It Doesn't Matter Anymore" that Holly recorded shortly before his death in 1959. Anka stated shortly after that:
