Lina Medina

Medina gave birth by caesarean section for a baby boy six weeks after she was diagnosed. She was five years, 7 months, and 21 days old. She was the youngest person in the history of the world to give birth. The birth by caesarean was triggered due to her pelvic size. Lozada, Dr . Busalleu and Dr Colareta performed the surgery. Dr Colareta gave anesthesia. Her precocious puberty had given her fully mature organs for sexual reproduction. Dr. Edmundo Escomel reported her incident in the medical journal La Presse Medicale, including that menstrual cycles began at eight months of age and was in stark contrast to previous reports that indicated she was having regular menstrual cycles since the age of 3 or 2 and half. half.Medina's son was 2.7 kg (6.0 lbs; 0.43 st) at birth and was named Gerardo after her doctor. He was raised to believe Medina to be his sister before finding that, at age 10, she was actually his mother. After initially being within the family, the Lozada was allowed to be the sole caregiver for the son's home at the Lozada's in Lima. Then, he employed Lina at his clinic in Lima (where she also lived), though Lina was unable to visit her son occasionally. Her son grew up healthy, but passed away in 1979 at the age of 40 due to bone marrow diseases.
