LiAngelo Robert Ball, born November 24, 1998 was an American professional basketball player who is a member of the Greensboro Swarm in the NBA G League. Ball was a player for Chino Hills High School in California and won the state championship and the national championship in junior high school with his brothers Lonzo, and LaMelo and LaMelo, both currently NBA guards. After being detained for a time in China because of shoplifting, the young ball signed with UCLA as a three-star student. Ball signed with Prienai an elite Lithuanian basketball team. He then played in the Junior Basketball Association (JBA) the league created by his father, before becoming a member of the G League at the end of 2019-20. He was briefly signed by the Detroit Pistons in late 2020 but was let go before the beginning of the 2020-21 season. Ball was signed to the Greensboro Swarm in 2021.Ball and his brothers have garnered national attention since they played together in high school. His father, LaVar, also grew into a popular media star in 2017. Ball has a shoe that is exclusive by his father's company, Big Baller Brand, as well as a part in the family's Facebook Watch reality show Ball in the Family.Early lifeBall is the second son of LaVar and Tina (nee Slatinsky) Ball, who are both former basketball players at the college level. LaVar, who stands 6-foot-6 (1.98 m), played for Washington State and Cal State Los Angeles. Tina, who stands 6-feet (1.83 m) and weighs 1.83 m, also played for the former school. The father of Ball was a pro football player who played tight end for London Monarchs of World League of American Football. In his youth, Ball played basketball against older players, usually against fourth- and fifth-graders. At the age of four, he started training and working out. He played in his first contest alongside LaMelo and Lonzo at six. [3][4] He began playing flag football at seven-year-old. As Lonzo was a quarterback, LiAngelo and LaMelo caught passes. In the court for basketball, LiAngelo was a kid who played alongside his brothers in Big Ballers VXT, an Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) under-17 team that was created by their father. It was managed by both parents.
