Ken Burns

 American filmmaker Kenneth Lauren Burns was born on the 29th of July 1953. He is most well-known for his television shows and documentary films that focus on American cultural and historical. His work is typically produced by WETA-TV or the National Endowment for the Humanities, and distributed by PBS. He was also the director of The West (1996) and Cancer: The Emperor of All Maladies (2015). His documentaries have received two Academy Award nominations for 1981's Brooklyn Bridge, 1985's The Statue of Liberty, and numerous Emmy Awards.
