Joseph Morgan's first ever acting audition was in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets for Tom Riddle. Morgan was the lead in the Sky One television series Hex as Troy. He has also played the supporting roles in movies such as Alexander and Master and Commander The Far Side of the World and BBC Two's The Line of Beauty. Morgan has also been a part of the TV series Doc Martin and Casualty and co-starred in Mansfield Park with Billie Piper. He played the role of Ben Hur in the 2010 mini-series. The show premiered on CBC television Canada and ABC TV America on April 4 in 2010. Morgan played Niklaus Mikaelson in The CW's The Vampire Diaries. He also played Lysander in Immortals in 2011, along with Henry Cavill. BuddyTV listed Morgan as as 84th on their "TV's Sexiest Man of 2011" list. A back-door pilot for The Originals began airing in January 2013. Morgan played the role of Niklaus Mikaelson. In 2020, Joseph Morgan starred in Peacock's science fiction thriller Brave New World as CJack60/Elliot.
