Joey Lynn King, born on July 30, 1999, is an American actor from the United States. She gained fame for her role as Ramona Quimby in the comedy film Ramona and Beezus (2010) and then gained more recognition for her role as the lead in The Kissing Booth (2018) and its sequels. King received critical acclaim for her performance in the crime drama series The Act (2019), for which she was nominated both an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award. Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award King has also appeared in the movies Battle: Los Angeles (2011), Crazy, Stupid, Love (2011), The Dark Knight Rises (2012), The Conjuring (2013), White House Down (2013), Independence Day: Resurgence (2016), Bullet Train (2022) and The Princess (2022), as well as the first and second seasons of the FX black comedy crime drama series Fargo (2014-2015)King was born in Los Angeles, California, to Terry and Jamie King. King began her professional acting career at the age of 4 in the commercial for Life Cereal. She's also been featured in commercials for Kay Jewelers, Eggo, and AT&T. King was a student at the Phoenix Ranch School in Simi Valley. When she was a kid, King sang a cappella for a talent show at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center. 4 She also performed with the Stage Door Children's Theatre in Agoura.
