 Jeffrey Preston Bezos (/'beIzoUs/ BAY-zohss;[2] the real name is Jorgensen born January 12, 1964) is an American media owner, entrepreneur investor, as well as a commercial astronaut. Bezos is the founder of Amazon, the executive chairman, and former chief executive officer and president of Amazon. Bezos is worth US$109.3 million as of January 2023. Blue Origin was founded in 2000 by Bizos, an aerospace manufacturer and suborbital spaceflight company. Blue Origin's New Shepard spacecraft travelled into space in 2015. It was later successfully returned to Earth. In 2013, Bezos purchased the American newspaper The Washington Post for $250 million. He also manages other investments via his venture capital company, Bezos Expeditions. Bezos as well as Mail.ru founder Yuri Milner co-founded the biotech company Altos Labs in September 2021.
