Born in Albuquerque and raised in Houston and Miami, Bezos graduated from Princeton University in 1986. He holds a degree in electronic engineering as well as computer science. From 1986 to 1994, he worked in various related fields on Wall Street. Bezos established Amazon in late 1994, while on a road journey between New York City and Seattle. Amazon began as an online bookstore. It has expanded to include audio and video streaming cloud computing, as well as artificial intelligence. It is the world's biggest online retailer, the largest Internet business by revenue, and the largest provider virtual assistants, cloud infrastructure services and cloud computing services through its Amazon Web Services branch. Blue Origin was founded in 2000 by Bizos, a manufacturer of aerospace and suborbital spaceflight service company. Blue Origin's New Shepard spacecraft travelled into space in 2015. It was then successfully returned to Earth. Bezos also bought the largest American newspaper The Washington Post in 2013 for $250 million, and oversees many other investments through his venture capital company, Bezos Expeditions. In September 2021, Bezos founded biotechnology firm Altos Labs together with Mail.ru the founder, Yuri Milner.
