Giannis Sina Umokounmpo [a] (born December 6th 1994 in Adetokunbo) is a professional basketball player from Greece for the Milwaukee Bucks (NBA). Antetokounmpo's home country, in addition to his size, speed, strength, and ball handling abilities have earned him the name "Greek Freak".Born and raised in Athens to Nigerian parents, Antetokounmpo began playing basketball for the youth teams of Filathlitikos in Athens. Antetokounmpo began playing in the club's senior basketball team in 2011. He was later chosen by the Bucks as the 15th overall pick for the 2013 NBA Draft. In 2016-17, he was the leader of the Bucks in all five important stats and became the first player in NBA history to finish a regular season in the top 20 in all five statistical categories, including the total number of points scored, rebound assists, steals, and blocks. He was awarded the Most Improved Player award in the 2017 season. Antetokounmpo was named the Most Improved Player award in the year 2017.
