Donatella Versace

 Donatella Versace was born in Reggio di Calabria, Italy, one of the youngest children: Santo, Gianni, and Tina. Her father, Antonio, helped run the family's coal mining business as did her mother. Her mother, Francesca, was a seamstress for a fashion company before setting up her own fashion store. The older sister of her, Tina, died at the age of 12 from an improperly treated T.E.A. infection.Always close to her brother Gianni, Donatella was persuaded by Gianni to dye her hair blonde at 11 years old in honor of the Italian singer Patty Pravo of whom he was a huge fan.In the late 1970s, Donatella studied literature and languages in Florence. On the weekends she would travel to Milan to work with Gianni who was employed at the Callaghan fashion label.Donatella's mother was not a fan and wanted her to concentrate instead on her studies, and would keep track of Donatella by making surprises visits to Florence
