Cris Collinsworth

 Collinsworth was born in Dayton (Ohio) on Abraham Lincoln "Abe", Collinsworth's son. Collinsworth was the son of Donetta Browning Collinsworth and Donetta Collinsworth. Abe Collinsworth, often referred to as "Lincoln" was a basketball high school player for the Kentucky Wildcats and the "Fiddling Five" which took home the national championship in 1958. Both parents of Cris were educators. Donetta was a teacher, as was Abe was a high school coach and teacher who was later a principal and later the school superintendent for Brevard County.His family, including Cris and his brother Greg relocated from Ohio to Melbourne, Florida, in 1963, when Cris was four years old.They relocated to nearby Titusville in 1972, where his brother and he attended Astronaut High School, while their father was the principal. Cris was a winner of numerous sports championships for the Astronaut War Eagles. In 1976, his final year as a senior, he also named All-American high school quarterback.
