She reprised her role as Rebekah Miaelson. In the 16th episode of season one, Holt was a regular in the series and then she quit the show. It aired in the U.S. in March of 2014. Holt was allowed to return as a series regular for the final episode of season one on May 13, 2014. She continued to guest star on the series up to its conclusion on 1 August 2018.
