Robert Pickering Burnham, born 1990 is an American comedian. He is also a musician, songwriter and actor. Burnham's comedy often incorporates musical, sketch and stand-up elements. He was an established YouTube star in the late 2000s, and gained a following in the late 2010s due to his subversive comedy and satirical stand-up. Burnham released four comedy albums as well as three comedy-themed specials through Comedy Central Records: Words, Words & Words (2010) and What?. (2013) and Make Happy (2016)--created and performed on the MTV mockumentary series Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous (2013), and published his poetry collection Egghead Or You Can't Live on Ideas Alone (2013). He announced a shift in his career to a comedy-focused career in 2016 before producing and directing the critically acclaimed drama film Eighth Grade (2018). He also has directed other comedy specials by comedians and he co-starred in the Academy Award-winning comedy-thriller film Promising Young Woman (2020).
