Robert Pickering Burnham, born 1990 was a popular American comedian. He's also a musician, songwriter and actor. His comedy work often combines sketches, musical and stand-up elements, as well as filmmaking.Following his success as one of the earliest YouTube stars throughout the late 2000s, Burnham gained notability in the beginning of 2010 for his satirical and subversive stand-up and musical comedy. Burnham released four comedy albums as well as three comedy-themed specials through Comedy Central Records: Words, Words & Words (2010) and What?. (2013) and Make Happy (2016). He also appeared in the MTV mockumentary Zach Stone is Gonna be Famous (2013) and published Egghead The Or You Can't survive on Ideas All by Yourself (2013). He also has directed comedians' comedy specials, and co-starred in the Academy Award-winning comedy thriller film Promising Young Woman (2020).Burnham created and starred in his fourth special, Inside (2021), without any crew or an viewers during the COVID-19 pandemic. the film was released by Netflix to wide acclaim. The film was nominated for six categories at the 73rd Emmy Awards, winning Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special, Outstanding Music Direction, and Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special. In the 64th Grammy Awards, Inside was nominated for Best Music Film and Best Song Written for Visual Media winning the award for the latter. The special included three tracks which were certified as gold by the United States Billboard and the accompanying album Inside (The Songs).
