Bill Cosby

 William Henry Cosby Jr. (/'kazbior KOZ-bee, born July 12th, 1937) is an American comedian, actor and media personality. He played a major role in contributing to American as well as African American culture. He earned the title "America's Dad" because of his role as Cliff Huxtable on The Cosby Show (1984-1992). He has been awarded numerous honorary degrees and prizes during his entire career. Many of these were suspended following allegations of sexual assault against him in 2014. He released several stand-up comedy albums which brought him the Grammy Award in 1965 and 1970. Cosby also played a prominent role on the crime show I Spy (1965-1968) opposite Robert Culp. Cosby made history when he won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in an Drama Series in 1966, being the first African American to earn an Emmy Award for acting.His acting career continued as he starred in the sitcom The Bill Cosby Show, which was on for two seasons from 1969 until 1971.
