Arnold Schwarzenegger

 Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger, born July 30 1947, is an Austrian-American actor as well as a film producer and businessman. Schwarzenegger was also a former professional bodybuilder, politician and 38th governor for California from 2003 to the year 2011. Time magazine listed Schwarzenegger among the 100 most influential people throughout the world between the years 2004 and 2007. Schwarzenegger started lifting weights when he was fifteen years old. He won the Mr. Universe title at 20 and then the Mr. Olympia title seven more times. He is considered to be one of the most powerful bodybuilders to ever. The Arnold Sports Festival is named in his honor, and is the second-most important bodybuilding event , after Mr. Olympia. [6] Schwarzenegger appeared in Pumping Iron (1977). After he quit bodybuilding, Schwarzenegger was a Hollywood action star. He starred in the 1977 documentary Pumping Iron. The other action films that were successful include Commando (1985), The Running Man (1987), Predator (1987), Red Heat (1988), Total Recall (1990), and True Lies (1994), as well as comedy films like Twins (1988), Kindergarten Cop (1990), Junior (1994), and Jingle All the Way (1996 He was the founder of the film production company Oak Productions.As a Republican candidate, Schwarzenegger was first elected on October 7, 2003, in a recall vote to replace then-Governor Gray Davis. He won with 48.6 percent, or 17 points higher than Cruz Bustamante, the Democratic third-place finisher. On November 17th, he was sworn into office to finish Davis' term. He also was elected to the California gubernatorial elections with a larger share of the vote (55.9 percent) to serve another term as governor. [10] In 2011, he reached his term limit as governor and returned to acting.Schwarzenegger was nicknamed the "Austrian Oak" in his bodybuilding days, "Arnie" or "Schwarzy" during his acting career,[11] and "the Governator" (a portmanteau of "Governor" and "Terminator") during his political career. He got married Maria Shriver, a niece of President John F. Kennedy, in 1986. After he admitted to having had a child in 1997 with his housekeeper, they divorced. The divorce was finalized in 2021.
