The album was made over a period of 18 months. The lead single "Wait A minute" reached 30th on the U.S. Hot 100. The Billboard Hot 100 chart peaked at #30 and the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart at #8. "Formal Invitation" was ranked #54 on the R&B chart. Norwood then returned to the studio and worked on his third studio album Raydiation, with the help of his producers Rodney Jerkins (Timbaland), Rob Egerton, and R. Kelly. A joint venture of Sanctuary Records and Ray-J's own label independent label Knockout Entertainment The album was released on September 27, 2005, in North America after several delays, debuting at forty-eight on the Billboard 200 chart, selling 18,321 copies in the first week. The album's first single, "One Wish", was a big hit across the US, UK and Ireland. Raydiation eventually sold over 400 000 copies in the US.
