Paul McCartney

Born in Liverpool, McCartney taught himself the guitar, piano and songwriting when he was a teenager and was inspired by his father who was a jazz musician, as well as rock and roll stars like Little Richard and Buddy Holly. McCartney began his career after Lennon's group of skiffles called the Quarrymen, in 1957. They later merged into the Beatles in the year 1960. McCartney is sometimes referred to "the adorable Beatle" Later, he became involved with the London avantgarde and was instrumental in incorporating experimental aesthetics into the Beatles studio albums. Beginning with 1967's album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, he gradually became the band's chief of staff, and was the creative inspiration behind the majority of their music and film projects. A number of his Beatles songs, such as "And I Love Her", "Yesterday", "Eleanor Rigby" as well as "Blackbird" are as the most popular songs in the history of music. [5][6] Although it was his main job to be a bassist for the Beatles, the band also featured a variety of instruments in songs, such as guitars and keyboards. Then, he formed Wings with Linda Laine, his first wife and Denny Laine to create the band Wings. Wings was directed by McCartney and was among the most popular groups in the 1970s. He co-wrote or wrote the number-one songs in the US and UK, "My Love", “Band on the Run" and "Listen to What the Man said", "Silly Love Songs"," and "Mull of Kintyre". The singer-songwriter resumed his solo career in the year 1980, and has been touring as solo artist since 1989. His number-one UK and US songs with no Wings include "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey", "Coming Up" as well as "Pipes of Peace". He also was a part of the group with Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson. The singer has also been involved in international charity projects related to the rights of animals, seal hunting and landmines in addition to vegetarianism and music education.
