Jameela Jamil

 Jamil was born 25 February 1986 in Hampstead (London) to an Indian father Ali Jamil and Shireen Jamil who is a Pakistani British mother. Jamil has stated that she was born with congenital hearing impairment as well as labyrinthitis. She has had many operations to correct it. In the year 2015, she stated she had hearing loss of 70% in her left ear, with 50% on her right. 10. At the age of nine she was diagnosed with hypermobile Ehlers–Danlos syndrome, a genetic disorder affecting connective tissue throughout the body,[11] and was diagnosed as having coeliac disease at the age of 12. 10 years old, at the age of nine she was diagnosed with hypermobile syndrome which is a genetic condition that affects connective tissue within the body [1111. She was also diagnosed with coeliac disease at the age of 12. Her eating disorder was triggered by social pressures, such as advertisements in magazines selling weight loss products. 15 years ago, at the age of 17 , she was hit by a car while running from a bee which broke several bones and causing damage to her spine. She recalls being told she could never walk again. But, she began to recover after the physiotherapy and steroids. Then, she was able to walk again using the Zimmer frame. For two years she taught English at the Callan School for English in London for foreign students. In an interview in 2013 with The Independent, she said she worked as a model scout but never as a model. [18] However, in 2020, she stated she had been a model but did not mention it in the initial interviews. She also reveals that she worked as a photographer, scout and model agent for Premier Model Management.
