Ben Affleck

 Benjamin Geza Affleck[b] was born on 15 August 1972 and is an American actor, filmmaker, and director. He has been awarded two Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards and a Volpi Cup (the principal award for actors at the Venice Film Festival). When he was a kid, he appeared in the PBS educational program The Voyage of the Mimi (1984-1988). Then, he appeared on the independent comedy Dazed & Confused (1993) as well as several Kevin Smith films including Mallrats (1995), Chasing Amy (1997) and Dogma (1999). Affleck as well as Matt Damon, his childhood friend, won the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Original Screenplay for Good Will Hunting (1997). They also played characters in the film. Affleck was a well-known actor in studio films such as the war drama Pearl Harbor (2001), the disaster film Armageddon (1998) and the thrillers The Sum of All Fears (both 2002). Affleck also won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay as well as the Volpi Cup in Best Actor. A nomination for the Golden Globe for his role in the role of George Reeves, a noir biopic titled Hollywoodland (2006). The film he directed his debut, Gone Baby Gone (2007) that he co-wrote, was well received. The Town (2010) was his first attempt at directorial. He also co-wrote, co-starred, and directed the film. Argo (2012) was a commercial and critical success. Affleck was given the Golden Globe and BAFTA Award for Best Director as well as the Academy Award for Best Picture for the latter. After his role in the thriller The Accountant (2016) and in the action-adventure Triple Frontier (2019) Affleck was featured in Gone Girl (2014) and appeared as Batman as Batman in the DC Extended Universe. He was also in the role of Batman in Batman Superman v Superman : Dawn of Justice (2016), Suicide Squad (2016) and Justice League (2017). Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) and the forthcoming films of The Flash (2023 and Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom (2023). Affleck was the co-founder and director of the Eastern Congo Initiative (a non-profit group that provides grants and advocates). Affleck is also a staunch fan of the Democratic Party. Affleck as well as Damon were co-owners of Pearl Street Films, a production company.
