Benjamin Geza Affleck was born August 15, 1972 and is an American actor, filmmaker and director. He has been awarded two Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, and an award called the Volpi Cup (the principal award given to actors at Venice Film Festival). When he was a kid He was on the PBS educational program The Voyage of the Mimi (1984-1988). Later, he appeared in independent comedy Dazed and Confused (1993) as well as numerous Kevin Smith films including Mallrats (1995), Chasing Amy (1997) and Dogma (1999). Affleck was recognized more widely when the two of them, along with his childhood friend Matt Damon won the Golden Globe and the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for the script of Good Will Hunting (1997) in which they also played in. Affleck was later a well-known actor in films of the studio like the war-themed drama Pearl Harbor (2001), the disaster film Armageddon (1998), and the action films The Sum of All Fears (both 2002). Affleck also won the Oscar Award for Best Original Screenplay, as well as the Volpi Cup for Best Actor. A nomination for the Golden Globe for his role in the role of George Reeves, a noir biopic titled Hollywoodland (2006). His directorial debut, Gone Baby Gone (2007) that he co-wrote, received a favourable reception. The Town (2010) was his first directorial venture. He also co-wrote, co-starred, as well as directed the film. Argo (2012) was critically and commercially successful. Affleck was given the Golden Globe and BAFTA Award as Best Director and the Academy Award for Best Picture for the latter. The psychological thriller Gone Girl was his next film. He also played the lead role in Batman in Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) and Batman Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) as well as Suicide Squad (2016). Following his roles in the drama The Accountant (2016) and the action-adventure Triple Frontier (2018), Affleck became a supporting actor in The Tender bar (both 2021) as well as in the historical drama The Last Duel (22).
