 Karen Sheila Gillan nwas born on the 28th of November 1987 and is an actress from Scotland. Scottish actress. Her work in British film and television earned her recognition, especially for her character Amy Pond, the primary character of Doctor Who's Eleventh Doctor in Doctor Who (2010-2013), where she was nominated and was awarded numerous prizes. Her early film roles include Ally in the thriller film Outcast (2010) and Jane Lockhart in the romantic comedy film Not Another Happy Ending (2013). In Britain she also performed on stage, initially playing in John Osborne's show Inadmissible Evidence (2011) and later making her Broadway debut in Time to Act (2013). She was the first American actress to become an actor in Oculus (2013), which was her first commercial success. She then played the lead character in Selfie (2014). Her international fame was based on her the role of Nebula in the Marvel Cinematic Universe superhero films Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017), Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019) and Thor: Love and Thunder (2022) and her character will be reprised in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023). 3 (2023). She also wrote and director for The Party's Only Beginning (2018) and was the director. The film has also been recognized for her public image and her activism, specifically towards suicide prevention.
