Jon Jones

 Jonathan Dwight Jones, a professional mixed martial artist from the United States, was born July 19, 1987. He is currently signed with Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) which is where he fights in the light heavyweight division. He was a two-time UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, having held the title from March 2011 to April 2015 and from December 2018 until August 2020. Jones also held the interim UFC Light Heavyweight Championship in the year 2016. Jones also held the interim UFC Light Heavyweight Championship in the year 2016. Jones holds numerous UFC records such as titles, wins, defenses and longest winning streak in light heavyweight. In the course of his championship reign, Jones is widely regarded to be the top pound-for-pound fighter around the globe. He has never been stopped or outscored in his professional career, Jones's one professional loss is a controversial disqualification against Matt Hamill; a result that Hamill and UFC president Dana White dispute.tween 2015 and 2017, Jones was the subject of numerous controversies and lost his title three times as a result of the disciplinary actions. He was stripped of his title and removed from official rankings by the UFC in 2015 following an incident where his arrest on felony hit-and-run charges. In titles fights against Ovince St Preux and Daniel Cormier in 2016, and 2017, he came out triumphant. But the two subsequent UFC returns were cut short when Jones was found to be positive for banned substances and he was also suspended. The second was reverted to a "no contest". Jones took home the title in 2018 by beating Alexander Gustafsson after his 2017 suspension was lifted. Jones voluntarily quit the title in 2020 due to a pay dispute with White and cited intent to make the move to heavyweight.
