Jonathan Niven Cryer (born April 16, 1965)[1] is an American actor as well as a writer, director, and producer. He was born into a showbiz household and began his film career in 1984, as a teen photographer for No Small Affair. His debut part in Pretty in Pink, written by John Hughes, came in 1986. In 1998, he wrote and produced the film independently titled"Went to Coney Island on a Mission from God... Then, be back by Five.Although he made a name for himself with his early film roles however, it took a few years to find success on television since none of his main productions, like The Famous Teddy Z, Partners, and The Trouble with Normal, which ran longer than 22 episodes. He co-starred with Alan Harper in the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men. This show was a huge success for 12 seasons , and earned him two Primetime Emmy Awards. [2][3] He received an award on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for television in 2011.Cryer's other film appearances include Superman IV: The Quest for Peace (1987), Hiding Out (1987), Hot Shots! (1991), Holy Man (2000), Tortured (2008) and Shorts (2009). He was also part of Hit by Lightning (2014). In the CW series Supergirl and Arrow He has also been a character in Holy Man (1998), Supergirl (1991), Shorts (2009) Lex Luthor. After appearing on the podcast Crime Writers On... it was announced that He would join the Undisclosed podcast for the second season.
