Joe Walsh

 Joseph Fidler Walsh, born on November 20 1947 was an American musician, singer, and songwriter. In a career spanning over five decades, he has been part of three successful rock bands: the James Gang, Eagles, and Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band. He was also a member of the New Zealand group Herbs. He was also part of the New Zealand band Herbs in the late 1990s. He was named No. 54 by Rolling Stone in 2011. 54 spot on their list of "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time".In the mid-1960s, following having attended Kent State University, Walsh played with several local Ohio-based groups before gaining a national audience as part of the James Gang, whose hit track "Funk #49" highlighted his skill as a guitarist and singer. Roger Abramson was a concert manager and producer who signed the James Gang to manage the band with BPI in Cleveland. After having left the James Gang in 1972, the band was formed by Barnstorm with Joe Vitale, a college friend from Ohio as well as Kenny Passarelli, a bassist from Colorado, where Walsh had relocated following his departure from Ohio. The group recorded three albums in three years and was still together, however Walsh's solo projects were advertised. The 1974 Barnstorm album So What had significant contributions from several Eagles members who had just been hired by Walsh's producer Bill Szymczyk.
