Gwyneth Kate Paltrow (/'paeltroU/; born September 27th, 1972) is an American actress and businesswoman. She has received numerous awards that include an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award as well as a Primetime Emmy Award.Paltrow gained notice for her work in the early days of films such as Seven (1995), Emma (1996), Sliding Doors (1998), and A Perfect Murder (1998). Paltrow made occasional appearances in films, including Proof (2005) for which she received a nomination for the Golden Globe Award as Best Actress in Motion Picture - Drama. Paltrow received nominations for the Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album For Children in 2009, for her children's audiobook Brown Bear and Friends. In addition, she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest actress in the field of a Comedy Series for her guest part as Holly Holliday on the Fox musical comedy drama television show Glee in 2011. Paltrow was the face and the face of Estee Lauder's Pleasures perfume from 2008 to the year 2019.
