Gabrielle Union

 Gabrielle Monique Union-Wade (nee Union; born October 29th 1972) is an American actress. Her professional career started in the 1990s, when she appeared on a number of shows on sitcoms on TV and teen dramas, before getting roles as a supporting actress in 1999 teen films She's All That and 10 Things I Hate about You. After starring in Love & Basketball, a romantic sports drama, she came to fame and got her breakout part in Bring It On, a film for teens.

Union is famous for her roles in the romantic comedy films The Brothers (2001), Deliver Us from Eva (2003), Daddy's Little Girls (2007), Think Like a Man (2012) and Think Like a Man Too (2014). Her most prominent roles were in the CBS medical drama City of Angels (2000), Bad Boys II (2003) and Cradle 2 The Grave (2003). She was also in the film series Bad Boys II, Cradle 3 The Grave (2006), Neo Ned (2004), Top Five (2014), Breaking In (2018). In 2013, Union began starring as the lead character on BET drama series Being Mary Jane, for which she was awarded an NAACP Image Award. In addition, she was a co-star in the 2016 film The Birth of a Nation, and also appeared in Almost Christmas (2016) and Sleepless (2017).Outside of acting, Union has written four books: two memoirs, called We're Going to Drink more Wine (2017) and Have You Are You Stronger Than This? (2021) as well as two children's books called Shady Baby (2021). She has also been an active advocate for issues involving women's health and the violence that women face. Union was named on Time's 2020 list of 100 most influential people.
