Donnie Wahlberg

  In 2001, Wahlberg co-starred as Second Lieutenant C. Carwood Lipton in the mini-series on television Band of Brothers. Joel Stevens, a Los Angeles detective and police officer, was also a part of the 2002-2003 NBC drama Boomtown. Graham Yost was the executive producer and the writer of Boomtown. He was previously a co-star with him on Band of Brothers, and was so impressed by his performance, he created the role of Joel Stevens for him. [citation needed] Wahlberg was the character Timothy Olyphant alongside Jason Lee and Damian Lewis in Band of Brothers an adaptation of Stephen King's alien invasion thriller Dreamcatcher that was composed by Lawrence Kasdan and William Goldman. In 2005, he was a part-time actor as Detective Eric Matthews in the second installment of the Saw series. In 2006 and 2007 the actor reprised his role as Detective Eric Matthews on Saw III. He also appeared in Saw IV in 2007. Wahlberg was also in Saw V in 2008 using archive footage from previous movies. Wahlberg was Lieutenant Commander Burton in Annapolis, a military/boxing drama. In September 2006 Wahlberg was the lead character in the short-lived TV drama Runaway on The CW. The show was cancelled in October of 2006 due to poor ratings. He was a part of the TV film Kings of South Beach, that aired on A&E in 2007. Additionally, he appeared as a star in the TV show The Kill Point in 2007.
