Derek Jeter

 Derek Sanderson Jeter (born June 26th, 1974) was an American former professional baseball shortstop. Jeter is also an entrepreneur and baseball executive. Jeter played the entirety of his 20-year Major League Baseball career (MLB) with the New York Yankees. In the year 2020, Jeter was eligible to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. He was awarded 396 of 397 votes (99.75 percent). It is the second highest percentage in MLB history , second only to Mariano Rivera and the highest amount of votes for an athlete in the position. From September 2017 until February 20,22, he served as the chief executive officer (CEO) and a part-owner of the league's Miami Marlins. He is well-known for his leadership skills in hitting baserunning, fielding, as well as other aspects of the Yankees"dynasty. Jeter is the Yankees the all-time career top scorer in the field with hits (3465) and doubles (544), games (2,747) and stolen bases (358) and runs on the base (4,716) and plate appearances (12.602) and at-bats (11,195). Jeter has been given 14 All-Star selections as well as five Gold Glove Awards. Jeter was the 28th baseball player to have more than 3000 hits.
